Alpaca fibre – The reason why we use this incredibly fine fibre in many of our most luxurious mattresses is because it’s simply one of the softest premium fibres around. It has exceptional temperature regulation qualities, requires far less processing compared to wool, and is high wicking too.

Best of British – We live in an age of mass production, and cheap foreign imports. But as one of the leading suppliers of luxury mattresses we believe in using traditionally made fabrics that capture that quintessential British quality. Using Britain’s fabric weaving and upholstery manufacturing heritage to produce mattresses of unparalleled durability and comfort. Using  100% Natural Fibres that are sourced here in the UK.

Cover fabrics – When it comes to getting the best night’s sleep, we believe that you’re much better off putting your hard-earned money into other components of the mattress or high-quality bed linen, as opposed to an ineffective polyester mattress cover. That said, our Artisan range are covered in a completely chemical-free damask fabric.

Our Artisan Luxury for example, has a combined upholstery weight of 4600 GSM, which shows you exactly how much fibre is contained within it.

Horsehair – This fantastic natural fibre really adds some crucial comfort to many of our luxury mattresses. It’s highly resilient properties means that a springs-through-mattress/” class=”” >mattress doesn’t suffer from as much settlement and compression as it acts as a natural spring unit.

Pocket springs – No Luxury Mattress is complete without our resilient and flexible pocket springs. They can be tailored to your bodyweight, providing you with the maximum amount of support and comfort your body needs. Each cushioned pocket spring can effectively absorb all of your movements, reacting and adjusting themselves to the pressure the shape of your body makes.

Queen size – Here in the UK we normally refer to this size of mattress as a double size. However, in the US a Queen size bed is around 150cm wide, which is actually a King size mattress over here. But don’t let this confuse you, John Ryan mattresses come in a range of sizes to accommodate your needs.

Research – We believe that conducting your own research is essential when it comes to making an informed decision on your mattress purchase.
