Should I buy a Mattress only or Mattress & Divan Base complete.
Hi, I am looking to buy a new Bed / Mattress, my wife & I both weigh approx. 12 stone each. I have been looking at your Origins Pocket 1500, would in your opinion it be suitable for our weight etc. I presently have a 10 yrs.! old Silentnight Miracoil Supreme Mattress which needs replacing. It is on a Spring Loaded Divan Base, which is probably about 14 yrs. old. The base springs still seem to be ok & I wonder whether I just need to buy a Mattress on its own. If I purchased one of your Origins Pocket 1500 Mattresses do you think would it be ok & would the Guarantee still be valid !! Another question is your Divan Bases all appear to be solid, do you also supply Sprung Loaded ones. If so are they really needed & do they make much difference in the overall comfort of the bed & are they much more expensive !! Regards David.

The Origins Pocket 1500 has a standard medium tension spring unit together with man made upholstery providing an overall medium feel. This, in our view, is ideal for your particular body weights and it can be used with your existing sprung base, which will make the overall feel ever so slightly softer.We would normally pair this mattress with a platform topped base, however, as we say there is no reason why you shouldn’t use a sprung one.
