I am a side sleeper with scoliosis and arthritis. I sleep alone. I am 5′ 3″ and weigh 48kg. I am looking for support for my spine with softness for my joints. What would you recommend?

Hi Mrs Bridle

Thanks for your question,

At your height and body weight, you require a soft spring tension. This is to ensure you are correctly supported. From there your personal preference/ sleep habits will determine the right mattress for you.

BodyweightSpring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kgMedium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg UpwardsFirm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call)Soft (1.2mm)

As you are experiencing difficulties with your spine and joints due to arthritis and scoliosis I would recommend something soft in the comfort layer to fully allow you to sink and take the pressure of the bony parts of your body that are more prone to aching.

I would recommend having a look at either the Origins Comfort 1000 or the Artisan Luxury
The Origins Comfort 1000 would be suitable, this carries a 2-year guarantee and would be a three-week turnaround to delivery from every Monday.
The Artisan Luxury in a soft spring tension would also be suitable, this carries a 20-year guarantee and uses 100% natural fibres.

I hope this helps if you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419
