Bed advice please.
Please can you help me to choose a new bed that is suitable for our needs?
We currently sleep on a Relyon 2400 sprung mattress with a latex topper that we purchased 3 years ago. We both find this too warm and I awake with a very stiff lower back and my husband would prefer a less firm and more comfort feel. I weigh 10 stone and my husband 14 . We are both aged 60 so this may explain the aches!!
I find all this information a minefield and simply have no idea what to choose.
We wish to purchase a complete bed with 4 drawers and have a budget of £1,500. Please help.

From the information that you have given to us, it would seem that you require a mattress that has a more medium feel in the comfort layers. Those are the fillings which are on top of the pocket springs.
Our Origins Pocket 1500 mattress has a medium comfort layer and comes which a medium spring tension which is going to give you both the correct support. This mattress does have man made fillings but is one of the most poplar mattresses that we sell.

However, if you are hot sleepers, you would be better looking at our Artisan Range of mattresses which have natural fillings. The first four mattresses in that range all have a medium feel in the comfort layers and we can make this mattress with a medium spring tension which will give you the support that you both require. The difference between the four of them is the amount of natural fillings used in the mattresses.
The Artisan 1500 has 50/50 natural fillings and man made fibres, the Artisan Tailored Pocket 2000 has 85% natural fillings but as it has a manufactured spring unit, this gives the mattress a slightly firmer support, The Artisan Naturals has 85% natural fillings but has a more superior spring unit being calico encased and the Artisan Bespoke 004 has 100% natural fillings. If a mattress is too firm, this can create aches and pains, and more so if you are side sleepers.
