Bed suggestions

George rigby asked

Myself and my wife both have back ache, we have recently tried a Slumberland 2000 pocket sprung bed, this helped me but not my wife.
I am 5’8″ tall and 14 stone, my wife is 5’5″ tall and 10 stone, can you suggest what would be the best mattress to ease our back pain, also I must add that I am allergic to Latex so some of your products my not be suitable.

Hi George,

Thank you for your enquiry.

We would suggest that the reason the Slumberland product did not work for your wife is that it was too firm for her with the 200 springs. With your particular body weights and medium spring tension is most appropriate.

Artisan Naturals

Please view the Origins Pocket 1500, which has a standard medium tension spring unit together with man-made upholstery providing an overall medium feel. If you are more inclined to a naturally upholstered mattress, please view the Artisan Naturals or Artisan Bespoke 004, both of which can have the spring tension selected to suit and both of which provide the same overall medium feel in the upholstery. The Naturals has 85% natural upholstery, whereas the 004 has 100%.

Whilst all the above mattresses will have the correct spring tension for you both, we cannot guarantee that they completely eliminate your existing back ache issues, although they should reduce it somewhat. We trust that the above is of assistance to you, but if you require any further advice or guidance, please call our office on 0161 437 4419 and speak with one of our advisors.

Kind Regards.
