Bensons Staple Pure Opulence Mattress
Hi,I am looking for 2 mattresses for myself and my son and very much like the softness of the Staples Pure Opulence mattress. However, this has a pillow top which I know is not your prefered option. I am also concerned about the build quality although I have heard Staples have a good reputation. So my question is would your mattresses offer the same kind of softness and padding? I am 5\’ 8\” 12st and my son is 6\’ 11st. At the moment I\’m sleeping on a firm mattress and find I often wake up with a slight backache.Any recommendations. help would be appreciated,

You are right regarding pillow top mattresses; We would always advise to steer clear of these as once the fabric compresses, which it does quickly there is nothing you can do to salvage it.
You are always better choosing a completely separate and detachable mattress topper as this allows extension of the life.
None of our mattresses will emulate a pillow top mattress as we don’t retail anything like it but the softest mattress we do retail is our Artisan Luxury. This gives a luxurious sink in sensation into the top layer. This being a pocket sprung mattress will give you the support from inside the mattress and then the top layer will give the comfort.
At your body weights you are both matched with a Medium spring tension to get the right level of support;
