Best mattress to suit us
Hi, I was originally looking for the comfort of a premier inn mattress but have seen some bad reviews. I want a superking as comfortable as premier inn. My husband and i currently wake up often with backache from our current mattress. He is 5″11 and 16 stone, I’m 5″8 and 12 stone.

At the body weights provided you are both definitely matched to a Medium spring tension.
The spring tension is what gives you the correct level of support from within the mattress itself.
In regards to the Premier Inn mattress, we compare this to our own Origins Pocket 1500 Mattress.
This mattress has an overall medium feel in its comfort layers; ie, not too soft nor too firm.
It gives a fantastic level of support as it is designed to hold a vast array of different body weights.
For anyone who has any existing issues with pains then we would advise steering clear of any mattress that is too firm as this will only serve to make these issues worse.
The base that the mattress goes on can make a difference to the overall feel of the mattress so it’s always worth considering this.
A solid or slatted base will always make the mattress feel firmer whereas a pocket sprung base will always soften it down.
