Can you refurbish a Heal's handmade mattress?
We have a Heal’s handmade bed & mattress. The base – 72 springs, firm edge 5’x6’6 flame retardant white cotton felt surface filling, layered white fleece wool, cotton/linen cover. The mattress – 374 springs, grey cattle/horsetail hair, white cotton felt, cotton/linen cover. The mattress now needs to be re-furbished or replaced. Heal’s no longer offer a refurbishment service for mattresses. What kind of replacement would you advise, please?

Thank you for your question.
We do deliver to Ireland at a cost of £75.00. Likewise, should there be a problem the expense of returning the mattress would again be charged at £75.00 for the collection.
The mattresses in our Artisan Range all have natural fillings. We would need to know the body weights of the people who will be sleeping on the mattress in order to advise the correct spring tension. The springs in the mattress are there to support you and that support is dictated by body weight.
