how to choose a matress without being able to test it first

Even if you lie on a mattress in a showroom for an hour, you will still not know if the mattress you receive will feel exactly the same as the one in the showroom. You will never know how long the showroom model has been there, and if it has been there 6-12 months with 300 people a week bouncing around on it, then it will be much softer than your brand new model delivered to your house.
 
 
Also it can take a good 3-4 weeks to get used to a new mattress, sometime even longer before you know if it is really supporting you properly, and if it is as comfortable as you wanted.
 
 
Sometimes all you can see in a showroom is an idea of the type of mattress you like, whether it is foam or latex? pocket springs etc that you prefer. Natural fibres against man – made fillings.
