choosing a replacement mattress

Thank you for your question.

At your body weight you are borderline between a Soft spring or a Medium spring. If you prefer something softer then choose the Soft or if you prefer something more supportive then choose the Medium spring.

Likewise, we would match your husband with a Medium spring but he is approaching the Firm spring weight margin so again if he wants something more supportive then he can choose the Firm spring.

As you disclose that you prefer a firm mattress, I would point you to our Artisan Bespoke mattress. This is constructed from 100% natural fibres and materials and is also the firmest mattress that we have in the top upholstery layers (also known as the comfort layers).

We would usually pair this mattress with the Artisan Base and with this model you have the option of choosing either a Pocket Sprung base, which will soften down the overall feel of the mattress or the Bonnel Coil base, which does a similar thing but is slightly firmer.

However, that mattress is absolutely fine to go on to any of our base range; The base will just depend on what your storage needs are, if any.
