hello-I am @18 stone and my wife around 11 stone. Neither of us like our current king size mattress.
we want to replace our cheapo king size mattress-she gets very disturbed when I turn in bed.
I’ve looked at all the reviews and am currently looking at the Casper, Silent Night Studio Medium and the Sealy Nostromo (Teramo). Only the Sealy is available to see in a showroom. the budget is @£650 but I’m also looking at the Artisan 1500 or the Origins Pocket 1500.
can you advise me?

Good Morning Daniel,

Thank you for your question.

At your body weights, you would need a dual tension mattress; You would need one half a Firm spring tension for you and the other half a Medium spring tension for your wife. Spring tension is determined solely by body weight as this is what provides you with the support from inside the mattress.

The Origins range are traditional pocket sprung mattresses with synthetic fibres. The Origins Pocket 1500 is a ture medium in the top layer giving a slight sink but not too much.

The Artisan range are again traditional pocket sprung mattresses with natural fillings. The natural fillings have the benefit of giving a cool sleep surface. The Artisan 1500 again has a medium upholstery but it is the firmer end of medium. At your budget however, the Artisan 1500 sits outside this.

As we don’t have a showroom of our own being an online only retailer this is the main reason we offer our 60 day love it or return it guarantee. This is a no quibble policy meaning that if you don’t get on with it for any reason you can either return the item for a refund or utilise the one time exchange and swap to a different model.

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don’t hesitate to contact us on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Lee.
