A comparison /info on Vi Spring Bedstead realm mattress
Hi there , I\’m impressed with your transparency and insight . We are looking for a mattress for a super king sleigh bedstead . We have slept on a Vi Spring Beadstead Realm at our friends with a John Lewis decent topper (don\’t have the actual name ) . The bed will soon become a spare bed in our house but needs its mattress replacing . The current ( and embarrassingly 20 yr old mattress on it ! ) is a Relyon Monet but my husband has found this very comfortable ( no longer available I believe ) .What we are looking for is something that can in about 1 yr become the spare bed and we will replace our own bed . The Vi Spring is very pricey but was comfortable .Any help/ advice . Happy to buy one from you if you can try and replicate at a good price something that is likely to be similar to a cross between the Relyon Monet and the Realm .Many thanksCarol

Thanks for your question.
The Vi-Spring Bedstead Realm mattress just contains wool and cotton upholstery layers, with a bamboo layer in between, giving this mattress a soft feeling in the top upholstery.
The mattress in our range with the softest upholstery layers is the Artisan Luxury. This would be the closest model in feel, to the Realm.
All our Artisan mattresses are fine to be used with a slatted base, we just recommend that you place an old or cheap duvet on top of the slats, this helps to protect the mattress and at the same time stop some of the indentations between the slats, so the mattress settles to how you sleep, and not the base.
