Hi Gary,

Thanks for your question.

As you will no doubt be aware, the published details of the John Lewis Natural Collection mattresses in terms of construction and upholstery are quite limited, particularly in terms of the GSM (grams per square metre) of the upholstery and this makes any form of comparison impossible. The Natural Collection is made exclusively for John Lewis by Harrisons and they do not disclose the specific make up of the upholstery and only advises the component parts not quantities.

In addition, the level of springs is achieved by including layers of mini springs, which actually take the place of upholstery layers.

The Naturals collection is in line with our own Artisan range of mattresses. These are traditional pocket sprung mattresses constructed using natural fillings. These fillings are ideal for anyone who identifies as a hot sleeper as they provide a cool sleep surface.

We would need to know your body weights to discuss spring tension as well as sleeping habits and preferred feel in the top layers to discuss suitable models;

BodyweightSpring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kgMedium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg UpwardsFirm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call)Soft (1.2mm)
