Construction of my current mattress
Hi. I’ve just ordered an Origins 1500 which I’m very much looking forward to. I was wondering if you know anything about the construction of the mattress it’s replacing? It’s branded as “Royalty Beds of Distinction – Royale Comfort”. My partner has had it for some years (bought with her ex). Whilst the upholstery seems half-decent, I’ve never been convinced of it’s comfort or support.

Thank you for your question.
We have tried to find the mattress that you have mentioned but we do not think that it is still being made. Most bed manufacturers do not stipulate the components used in their mattresses as some say that it is a trade secret so it may have been impossible to know exactly what that mattress was made of.
Our Origins Pocket 1500 has a medium comfort layer made up of 300 gsm wool/silk, 750 gms soft polyester and 500gsm of polyester together with a medium spring tension giving this mattress an overall medium feel.
