Coolest mattress choice
Both myself and my wife prefer to sleep cool – we tend to use a very light 2 tog duvet most of the year and only supplement that in very cold weather, and even then rarely go above 6 tog, in unheated bedroom. I also have a shoulder injury and sleep on my side so need (I think) relatively medium to medium soft mattress. I’m 5’ 10” and my wife is 5’4” and we are 12.5 stone and 9 stone respectively
We’ve been sleeping on an eve mattress with a Natural Latex topper – but find that a bit too hot, although certainly better than the eve by itself. In very hot weather we sleep in the spare room on a John Lewis pocket sprung mattress (much too hard) with a down topper that is blissfully cool, but we do find that after a couple of nights we are waking up quite stiff. Any advice on the best fit for us from your range would be very appreciated

Thank you for your enquiry on our website. We wouldn’t recommend anything too firm in the upholstery (comfort) layers for anyone who is a side sleeper. This can cause pressure pains in the shoulders, hips and knees. At your body weight, you require a medium spring tension to give you the correct support whilst your wife requires a soft. This can be achieved either with a dual spring tension one piece mattress or a zip and link option.
