Daybed or zip and link bed?

Carole asked

Hi I’d like to buy a day bed with a metal frame back and sides. The problem is that when these are converted into doubles, one person could only get out by climbing over the other!

If I was to buy a zip and link set of mattresses would it work to have people sleeping with pillows being horizontally parallel to the “headboard”, meaning that the zip link would also be situated horizontally across the middle of the bed. I hope this makes sense?

Daybeds with just a headboard at either end only have no back fir when it’s used as a daybed(sofa) and only have the headboard on one side of the bed when its used as a double. I’m not so keen in this type if daybed for this reason. Thanks Carole x .

Hi Carole.

Hmm ..

I’ve read this a number of times and although I think I understand what you are saying, I’d like you to clarify a little bit more.

Better still, please send me a link of the model in question.

If I am reading this right, using a ziplink mattress where the sleepers bottom is on the zips, then undoubtedly they will feel the join and therefore not ideal.
