Hi Kev,

Thank you for your enquiry.

With your particular weight differential, you are correct in asserting that a single tension/feel mattress would not be suitable. You are in the firm bracket, whilst your wife is a medium.

There are two ways in which this issue can be resolved, one is to have a one piece mattress with a medium spring on one side and a firm on the other and such mattresses are only available in our Artisan range. Alternatively, you could opt for a zip and link set, which are also available in the Artisan range.

In the Artisan range, we would suggest looking at the Artisan Tailored Pocket 2000 or Artisan Naturals, which could be selected in a one piece with the split spring tension as described above or a zip and link set. Both these mattresses have a mixture of natural and man made upholstery and of the two, the Tailored Pocket is likely to provide you with more support. All the models are double sided and will require regular flipping top to toe to even out the wear and increase the longevity.

We trust that the above is of help to you, but if you require any further advice or guidance, please call our office on 0161 437 4419 and speak with one of our advisors.

Kind regards.
