Duck/goose down toppers

We don’t sell down topper because of the maintenance required to keep them in reasonable shape. A lot of customers buy them for their incredible warmth and breathability. However, with down toppers you have to maintain them much more regularly than a regular topper. Almost weekly to keep the loft high.

They settle very quickly which is why you need to take them off and shake them every week or so or you get flat spots.

They are also prone to being quite dusty as the feathers move and degrade over time. If you have asthma or a dust allergy a down or feather topper is definitely a no-no. They are incredibly soft and warm but you must bear in mind the maintenance of them.

Our range of toppers only require the same level of care and maintenance as our mattresses and don’t require shaking or readjusting in the same way a down topper would. As we only have Hybrid foam and Latex toppers in our range, the moulding sensation they provide isn’t what everyone is looking for, when they are adding a mattress topper to create an extra comfort layer.
