TAKE OUR MATTRESS QUIZ

what is Easi Pocket Reactive Foam, will it sag and who makes it?

P Gordon asked
15th January 2016

What is Easi Pocket Reactive 1250 mattress made of, will it sag within one week and which UK company makes it – is it Reylon? (I’m having huge problems with Benson for Beds and so far, 2 mattresses have been completely unacceptable! But, unfortunately, I have a budget to adhere to). I would be most grateful for your answer please.

Hi there,

Thank you for your question.

I have reviewed the details of the mattress you refer to and am unable to ascertain what the reactive foam is and who makes the product. I cannot provide any form of opinion in respect of quality and performance because of the lack of available data and I am unaware of your body weight and what type of base you would be using. Having said that, even if I had the last two bits of information, I cannot comment as to performance.

From what i can see online this is a one sided mattressOne sided mattresses can be really problematic and we have written about it here and what to avoid.  One sided upholstered mattresses should be avoided, The only one sided mattress you should accept is either layered foam or a latex topped pocket spring model. Please take a look at our Origins Pocket Latex 1500. This is a single sided pocket sprung mattress with a layer of Latex in the top upholstery.

We have added this model to our site to show you that if you are looking at memory foam pocket sprung mattresses we can offer a far superior latex model for a comparable – if not lower price. This is also the model whereby you can break away from polyester as a primary comfort layer. This model comes with a 7 year guarantee.

I hope this helps but if you would like any further information please give the office a call on 0161 437 4419 to speak to our friendly team of advisors.

Kind regards,
