Hi David,

Thank you for your enquiry.

The problem you are experiencing is a s a result of the fact that the spring unit is encased within a foam outer box, which is why the edge feels like it does. We do not have this problem with any of our mattresses because we do not use this method of construction.

All our pocket sprung mattresses contain, as the name suggests, individually encased pocket springs. The Origins range has butterfly clips around the edge to prevent the roll out feeling and the Artisan range has firmer edge springs to provide the same feeling.

The mattresses in each of our Pocket Sprung ranges, provide both support and comfort.   The support is from the springs and that support is dictated by body weight as the springs need to move with each individual body weight in order to give that support.  The comfort comes from the upholstery layers which are on top of the springs which you actually sleep on.
