Harrison Andorra
Hi, we treated ourselves to a superking firm Harrison Andorra pillow top with divan sprung base almost 3 months ago. Incredibly comfortable to begin with, but now I feel I’m sleeping in a dip. If I lie in the middle I feel like I’m on a peak, and roll down into a dip on my side. This is more subtle than I describe, but it’s not what you expect for the price. This is despite rotating the mattress weekly. We put the mattress on the floor as I thought it might be due to where the two halves of the sprung base meet, but it is only slightly better. On the website it says there will be some settling of the natural fibres, but it’s been 3 months. Do you have any advice? Will I be able to return the mattress?

Our advice is always to steer clear of Pillowtop mattresses. The reason for this is that being a one sided mattress means that the lifetime of the mattress is instantly restricted as it can’t be flipped over and it can’t have the wear and tear evenly distributed across both sides.
Fully turnable mattresses are generally considered to be the better option as regular flipping and rotation means that the mattress can fully settle across both sides. One sided upholstered mattresses should be avoided, The only one sided mattress you should accept is either layered foam or a latex topped pocket spring model, like our Pocket Latex mattress. The Pocket latex combines a quality 1500 pocket spring unit with a deep talalay latex comfort layer. Mixing both progressive comfort with traditional support. A medium firmer edge progressive feel.
