Harrison beds versus Vi Spring beds

Hi John and Ryan, thank you so much for taking the time to give me a full reply. i never heard from Harrison by the way- not even an acknowledgment of my email. I am going to take another look at Vi Spring this week and see what we can afford. I took a quick look at your super king Artisan mattresses ( The Artisan Luxury)….how do they compare to VI-Spring?

..and if i were to order it from you, i have two questions: 1- Do you ship to Dublin because thats where i live?.. 2- How will i decide that softnes/firmness i want if i cant try it?..do i test the Vi Spring and let you know and you would be able to judge given that the detailed make of Vi Springs is actually published?

I like the sound of horse hair not because its expensive but because i can imagine it would be great for providing support. I looked at the White Company and the mattress enhancer you suggested- would a feather filling provide support?

i would imagine it is like putting a duvert under you, no?…i cant bare this mattress anymore. its agony. i cant imagine any guests will be comfortable on it. would a memory foam enhancer not provide more support than feather?….i am thinking instead of wasting another 200 euros on an enhancer to just try and sell this one and buy a new one all together that is spring pockets and foam and not too expensive. would i find something for around the 400 euro mark?….thank you so much. .

Thanks for your question

We do deliver to Dublin now, there is a £75 charge.

Bear in mind that 400 Euro will not get you very much at all.

Our lowest standard that we are prepared to put our name to is £495 (Origins Comfort Mattress) When budget is an issue it is always better to purchase the support and comfort separately, as it is very unlikely you will find an adequate combination of both.

3	One Inch Foam Insulator Layer
4	1000 Spun Bond Pocket Springs

This means that you will be looking for a well priced 1000 or 1500 pocket spring mattress and purchasing a topper / enhancer to add the additional comfort.

Secondly, if it is the spring support on your current mattress that has failed / not living up to expectations then there is precious little you can do to make it right.

The byword is – you can make a firm mattress softer but you cannot make a soft mattress firmer.

Finally, it would be in your interest to specify a realistic budget for yourself.

Once you have this in mind, then it is easy to see what is available for this amount.
