TAKE OUR MATTRESS QUIZ

Mattress tufting is not symmetrical

John Pengilley asked

Hi, I am very happy with the two mattresses which I have just purchased, my question concerns the tufting. The 1st line of tufts start approx. 12 inches from the end of the mattress where the label is sewn on, whereas at the other end the line of tufts start approx. 6 inches from that end of the mattress, i.e. they are not symmetrical. This is just an observation, as I am very pleased with my purchase, and would recommend your mattresses to all my friends. Many thanks.

Hi John,
Thank you for your enquiry via our website. The tufts on any mattress should be ‘reasonably’ equal or equidistant. I say reasonably because there’s always a tolerance with furniture and bedding. However, the tolerance you’ve stated seems way off. Have a look at our products in the shop and you will see the tufts are symmetrical.

If I was you I’d get back in touch with the retailer where you bought the Harrisons mattress, and with photos ask them to respond to why the tufts are so unequal.

I hope this was of some help and if you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards
