Help to choose a supportive mattress that offers a luxurious feel
My wife and I have slept on a vispring elite mattress (firm/medium) on a slatted bed for over 10 years and think it’s time to replace. We want to purchase a divan and mattress but I am quite tall and heavy, 6ft 2” and 16-17 stone, my wife is 5ft 6” and about 11 stone.I have been looking at the artisan naturals and artisan luxury but I’m wondering if they would be too soft for my size, we want a mattress that is supportive but offers that luxurious feel.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your enquiry. We would pair your wife with a medium spring tension to give her the correct level of support. Yourself, on the other hand, are borderline between the medium and firm spring tensions so would get support from either. If you opt for a firm spring tension we could make a dual spring tension one piece mattress in our Artisan range in King Size and above.

The Artisan Naturals has medium feel comfort layers giving a slight sink but not too much and has a comparable feel to the Vi-Spring Regal Superb. The Artisan Luxury has soft upholstery giving a sink in feel and is comparable with the feel of the Vi-Spring Devonshire. I would recommend you try both of these Vi-Spring models with both spring tensions to determine the right combination for you.
