My husband and I are looking to buy a new bed. We are hoping to buy a king size that is two beds that zip together so moving it will be easier. My husband has had two herniated disks in his lower back so we are wanting to invest in a bed that has good back support. He now sleeps on his side or his back. We both weigh about 170 pounds which converts to 12 stone.
Our budget is $3200 Canadian dollars which converts to £1900 or €2124. This price is for the entire bed (Base, headboard, mattress).
We are currently living in Spain. Do you ship to Spain or do you have retailers that sell your beds in Spain?
We have looked at the following mattress here in Spain but are uncertain if this is the best mattress for his back and for this price. I would really appreciate your opinion on this mattress or, if you do deliver to Spain, to know which of your beds you would recommend in our price range.
Anyone who is a side sleeper as well as suffering from any sort of pain needs to avoid any mattress too firm in it’s upholstery. This will only serve to cause further pains in places such as hips, shoulders and knees.
Looking at the link above we have no direct comparison but it would seem that the closest range would be our Hybrid range. This is a range of fully breathable foam mattresses that are far less heat retentive than memory foam. They also provide a similar progressive sink in sensation to memory foam.
However, I’d say here that a traditional pocket sprung mattress would be the way to go. From this you’ll get support from the springs inside the mattress as well as comfort from the top upholstery. I’d say you need something you can sink into but not fully so I’d say either the Artisan Naturals or Artisan Bespoke 004 would be the models to look at. At your body weights you would both be fine on a Medium spring tension; This is solely determined by body weight.
We are an online only retailer so don’t have a showroom or stockists of our mattresses. This is the reason we offer our 60 day love it or return it guarantee as you can’t test them beforehand.
We can sell to you in Spain, however, you would need to arrange shipping to yourself from the UK. Similarly, if the items have to be returned to us for any reason then this would have be at your own expense.
I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don’t hesitate to contact us on 0161 945 3757.
