Hybrid foam or latex?
Hi. I really like the feel of the Tempur Cloud mattress so thought I’d decided on the Hybrid 4 as a cooler alternative. However, I’m wondering whether we should also consider the latex range, especially the fusion 3. Could you advise how much firmer this would be please?
I don’t like the feel of really bouncy or springy beds so we’ve ruled out pocket sprung mattresses for this reason. I tend to be a side and back sleeper and my husband is a side sleeper also. I fidget a lot and have very restless nights due to changing positions to relieve pressure on my hips and shoulders.
We’ve struggled to find full latex mattresses in store to try- if they do stock latex, they tend to be hybrid versions.
My husband is 12 1/2- 13 stone and 5’9″. I’m 5’2″ and just under 12 stone.

We note that you like the Tempur Cloud and as you say, this is comparable in feel only to our Hybrid 4 and for your body weights the Hybrid 4 will provide an overall medium feel. The Fusion 3 will also provide the same medium feel. We also note that you and your husband are sided sleepers and as such, we would suggest that you opt for a medium feel mattress which both these mattresses provide. soft upholstery to accommodate your side sleeping. Of the two the Hybrid 4 is the softest and may be more appropriate for side sleeping.
Although you say you do not want a springy pocket sprung product, if you choose the right spring tension, in your case medium, accompanied by the right upholstery you shouldn’t get that springy bouncy feel. Please view the Origins Comfort 1000, which has a standard medium tension spring unit together with soft man-made upholstery ideal for side sleepers. If your preference is for natural upholstery, then the Artisan Luxury may suit as it can have the spring unit selected to suit and has soft natural upholstery, again ideal for side sleepers.
