Hypnos v Vi-Spring v John Ryan
Hello guys, me and my girlfriend are currently looking for a new kingsize bed and we have been advised that we should purchase a Hypnos, Vi-spring or Harrison mattress, as they are the better brands. Can you please recommend a JR mattress suitable for two 6ft, 12-14st people? We both sleep on or sides and prefer a Medium feel mattress. Budget including divan £1500.

It is great to know that you are putting us in the same league as the three well known, reputable manufacturers you refer to. Having said that, we are aware that Hypnos and Harrisons, although highly respected, do not disclose full details of the construction and upholstery in terms of GSM (grams per square metre) and that Vi-Spring are now adopting the same principle, which makes providing a comparison almost impossible.
When Vi-Spring used to disclose the information, we were able to compare some of our Artisan products in terms of overall feel only and a link to those comparisons is here. Our Artisan range are constructed using natural fibres and the Artisan Naturals and Artisan Bespoke 004 are two of our best selling mattresses which are a medium in the comfort layers. The natural fibre content of these mattresses are 85% in the Naturals and 100% in the 004.
