Hi Nancy,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Mattress toppers are primarily used to provide an extra comfort layer and to soften the feel of a mattress. They cannot be used to firm up the feel in a mattress and particularly, they cannot be used to provide support where the underlying mattress is dipping and causing issues. The topper would simply follow the contours of the mattress and dip in the same places. We would advise the best option would be to purchase a new mattress in a material, which does not have the same construction type.

Origins Pocket spring 1500 mattress

At your body weight we would suggest that a medium spring tension mattress would be most appropriate and to that end would direct you to our Origins Pocket 1500, which has a standard medium spring unit together with man-made upholstery providing an overall medium feel.
