John Ryan New bed and mattress
Looking for double bed driven, bed I have at moment is firm driven, I sleep on left side but tend to move to middle during night, my weight is under 10st, height 5ft 2ins,, I want a pocket sprung mattress no drawer base

Thank you for your question.
Given the body weight provided we would match you with a Medium spring tension.
The spring tension is what gives you the correct level of support from within the mattress itself.
After this has been established then you can ignore this and concentrate on how you want the mattress to feel in its top upholstery layers, also known as the comfort layers.
In regards to firmness, we would always advise steering clear of anything that is too firm in the top layers if you are a side sleeper as this will only cause pressure point pains.
I would advise looking at the Origins Pocket 1500 mattress in our starter range. This range is pocket sprung and constructed from man-made, synthetic fibres.
This model comes in feeling very much medium in terms of comfort; i.e, not too soft nor too firm.
We pair this mattress with our Origins Platform Base. This, being a solid base, will always make any mattress placed on to it feel firmer.
As a comparison, I would also recommend our Artisan 1500 mattress. This range is again pocket sprung but is instead constructed from natural fibres and materials. As such, this range is ideal for anyone who identifies as a ‘hot’ sleeper.
Again, this mattress comes in feeling very medium in its comfort layers and is a bit firmer than the Origins model.
We pair this model with the Artisan Base. You have the option with this base to choose Bonnel Coil or a Pocket Sprung Unit. The Pocket Sprung Unit will always make any mattress placed on to it feel softer due to the extra movement on the springs.
