JRBD Mattress Comparison

sally asked 4th December 2017

I am looking for a small single 2ft 6 mattress, that would have a similar feel to your Origins pocket 1500. How do you think a Warren Evans Royal or Sienna would compare? I plan to put this on one of your platform divan bases? Thanks

Hello Sally,

Thanks for your question.

We don’t offer a Small Single size in our Origins range. The smallest size we do is the standard Small with measurements 3ft x 6ft 3″.

The Origins Pocket 1500 is a true medium feeling model in it’s upholstery – It provides a slight sink but not too much.

Having had a quick look at the Warren Evans Royal, this mattress has 500 less Pocket Springs so would be slightly less supportive but it is described as a Medium model.

The Sienna has 1500 Pocket Springs so would give the same support as the Origins Pocket 1500 but is described as Medium/Firm model possibly closer to our Origins Pocket Reflex 1000 mattress.

We would need to know your body weights in order to discuss spring tension;

BodyweightSpring tension
Upto 9 Stone / 57kgSoft
9-16 Stone / 57-101kgMedium
16 Stone / 101kg UpwardsFirm

The Divan base is a solid top base and it’s worth bearing in mind that any solid top base will simply firm up the spring tension of the mattress going on top of it.

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don’t hesitate to contact me on 0161 437 4419. Our office is open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm.
