TAKE OUR MATTRESS QUIZ

King Koil club class equivalent?

Randie asked
1st September 2012

Slept on a King Koil Club Class the other week and it was the first time I awoke WITHOUT back pains. (Think it was a 1600 pocket with pillow top.) So I am shopping for a new mattress but there are too many out there and I’m confused by coil sprung, pockets springs, etc. Read all the people here that are impressed with your product. Would the Sequence Latex 2000 be the closest you have?

Thanks. .

Hi Randie,

Thanks for your question.

We no longer manufacture and retail the Sequence Latex 2000 unfortunately.

As such, the closest model we now have would be the Origins Pocket Latex 1500. This is designed to be a firm mattress in the top layers as the latex means that there is no sort of sink in sensation. If you wanted a firmer support then you do have the option of choosing 2000 springs instead that we generally recommend for anyone of a body weight above 17st.

Please see below for a full breakdown of the layers of this mattress;

John Ryan By Design Origins Latex
1300 gsm Wool Silk blend pad
23cm Talalay Latex (60/40% blend) 70kg Density
33cm Talalay Latex (60/40% blend) 70kg Density
4One inch HD Foam
51500 Spun Bond Pocket Springs

Please note however, in regards to the King Koil Club Class, that we always advise against pillowtop mattresses. The reasons for this are that the fabric will compress relatively quickly and once it does there is nothing you can do with it due to it being a one sided mattress. Our Origins Pocket Latex 1500/2000 is also a one sided mattress but you do have the option of adding a separate mattress topper; Something we always recommend as you’re not limiting the lifespan of the mattress here.

I hope this answers your questions fully but if you do have any further queries please don’t hesitate to contact our small friendly team on 0161 437 4419. We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Kind Regards, Lee.
