TAKE OUR MATTRESS QUIZ

Latex foam types

Amika asked
17th August 2016

Can you tell me the differences between Latex and Talalay.
I’m looking for pereferably 100% Latex but they all seem a little bit out of my price range.
But I have also discovered Talalay latex.
Do you stock this and what is the difference if any between Talalay and ordinary latex. I wrote to you in May and you recommended Fusion 5 or 6 but if you sell Talalay, what mattress would you recommend? We’re after support but also coolness. We currently have have a 10 inch memory foam which we need to replace.
Finally do you ever have sales of your mattresses?
Thank you

Hi Amika,

The difference between Dunlop type latex and Talalay latex is explained here and although we do make a mattress with Talalay, for people under 11st this will provide a very firm feel.

The mattress in question is the Origins Pocket Latex 1500, but before placing an order, please call us to discuss the suitability of this product for you.
