Latex mattress info

Hi, we have been sleeping on the same mattress (8 inch (2inch memory)) for around 5 yrs and we now need to change it.

  1. Is latex that much cooler than memory or the cool foam as shown in your youtube video?
  2. Is there anything wrong with memory foam taking longer to return back to it’s original form than latex does?
  3. Is there a downside to a mattress not being as responsive as say latex?
  4. Would you recommend having the grafite layer on top?
  5. Based on the mattress measurements, would you be able to tell me what the equivalent latex mattress in kg would be?

Hi there,

Latex is cooler than memory foam as memory foam utilises body heat to soften to the correct feel, but then reflects that heat back towards the sleeper making them notoriously hot. Coolblue foam is also cooler than memory foam. The lack of return to shape is an issue when you move during the night as it can tend to feel like you are climbing out of a hole, whereas latex returns to shape almost immediately.

The layer of graphite latex is used in our products as a fire retardant and so as far as we are concerned in our products, this is essential. Given the depth of mattress you refer to, I would suggest you look at the Fusion 5 or Fusion 6.
