Who makes iGel bases?

Thanks for getting in touch. We’re afraid we don’t know who manufactures the bases of the Igel range or the Igel mattresses for Bensons either. Retailers keep this a very closely guarded secret. What we can tell you is that usually the supply will be changed from various foam suppliers and mattress manufacturers every couple of years as business is very competitive. Maybe call Bensons direct to ask? It would be interesting to hear what they say!

Most divan bases are cheap imports, unfortunately. When buying one ask where it is manufactured, if the sales people scratch their head move on. All our bases are hand made in the Yorkshire Dales, no imports or Airmiles!   Here’s a detailed article on what to look for in a quality mattress base.
