I weigh 7 st 7 ad am 5ft 2, I currently have an orthopedic pocket firm mattress that is too firm. I was thinking of getting a pocket sprung mattress with a latex top but looking at your firmness rating i’m concerned it may be too firm. I quite liked the vienna divan sealy posturepaedic from bensons and was wondering what you would suggest?
thanks

Hi Louise,

Any product with orthopaedic or ortho in the name is likely to be a firm feel, and with your slight body weight, this is something I would never recommend.

What you require is support from a spring unit, and comfort from the upholstery layers.

We do not do any comparison to the Sealy product you refer to, as the published details of the construction and upholstery are vague to say the least.

Please view the details of the Origins Comfort 1000 mattress, which will provide a soft feel and support.

Alternatively, if you budget permits, please view the Artisan Naturals or Artisan Luxury, both of which can be selected with a soft spring tension, although the Luxury has the softer feel in the top layers.

Once you have viewed these products, please call our office for more specific advice as to suitability.

Kind Regards Gary
