Any mattress with the word “Ortho” in the title is likely to be on the firm side and with your particular body weights, we would never recommend such a product for you. It is likely that this is the cause of your aches and pains as the correct spring tension for you both would be soft. In addition, we do not recommend memory foam for the reasons detailed in this article.

It was previously the case that if you had back issues you ought to opt for a firm mattress, but that advice has now been reversed and you should look to obtain the right spring tension to support your body weight and then look at the upholstery to provide the right level of comfort required.
