We have had a vi spring signatory – soft. It doesn’t suit us both at different weights. Can you tell me how it compares to the feather and black grosvenor mattress ( med ) . My husband broke his neck few years back and I suffer with tendonitis of the hip. Can you please advise. Sharon

Hi Sharon,

It is not possible to compare the two mattresses you refer to because neither manufacturer provides full details of the construction and more particularly, the upholstery in terms of GSM (grams per square metre).

Likewise, I am unable to provide an opinion as to whether the Signatory in a soft was the correct choice without knowledge of your specific body weights.

BodyweightSpring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kgMedium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg UpwardsFirm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call)Soft (1.2mm)

It may be best to contact both companies direct to see if they will provide you with a breakdown of the upholstery in GSM, at which point you could then make a direct comparison in terms of that element of the mattresses.

Having said that I think it unlikely that you will receive a positive response from either. I am sorry if this is not the response you were expecting, but with the lack of information available in respect of these mattresses, there is nothing further I can say.

Kind Regards Gary
