TAKE OUR MATTRESS QUIZ

mattress firmness and dual tensions

Nancy Rockel asked
28th August 2017

Can you have two different firmnesses in one mattress? My husband is 5′ 10 inches and weighs about 172 lbs and I am 5’6″ and weigh 190. On a Vispring King regal I am a firm mattress and my husband is a medium. What mattress do you have that compares to the Vispring Regal?
Does the 60 day gurantee commence once the mattress has been delivered.

Hi Nancy,

Thank you for your question.

At the body weights provided we would match you both to a Medium spring tension.

The spring is what provides support from within the mattress itself.

A dual spring tension is needed predominantly where there is a vast difference in body weights and one spring tension won’t support both users. Yourselves here can be supported using the one spring tension overall.

Our Artisan range is comparable with the Vi-Spring range and we compare the Vi-Spring Regal Superb with the first 4 models in our Artisan range.

These models are the Artisan 1500, Tailored Pocket 2000, Naturals and Bespoke 004.

All these models are overall medium feeling in the comfort layers with only slight differences between them. If you did want a dual spring tension then this range can be constructed that way with 2 different tensions in one mattress unit.

Our 60 Day Love It and Return It guarantee does indeed commence from the day of delivery to yourself; This is a no quibble returns policy meaning that if you aren’t getting on with the product for any reason then it can be returned for a full refund.

I hope this has answered your questions fully but if you do have any further queries then please don’t hesitate to contact me on 0161 413 2009.

Kind Regards, Lee.
