Which mattress for a heavy person who likes medium mattresses?

Hi, thank you for the effect you guys are putting into your work.
I’m 19 stones and for most my life I’ve preferred a spring mattress. I’ve tried a foam mattress with a gel top in the past but found that once I sunk past the gel top I could feel the hard foam and it didn’t really help me get any comfort during sleep only if I slept on my back, which I’m not use to. As a heavy set person and 6 ft would you recommend medium mattresses as I’ve found I prefer the springs/” title=”pocket spring”>pocket spring mattresses.

The springs in a mattress are what gives you the support you need with the upholstery providing the comfort. If you select the wrong spring tension, you are likely to find that you will start to suffer with aches and pains and will not experience a restful nights sleep. With your particular body weight, even though you are tall, we would recommend a firm spring tension matched with softer upholstery layers to provide you with the comfort.

16 Stone / 101kg Upwards	Firm (1.6mm)

Our Artisan range can have the spring tension selected to suit and we would suggest that you look at the Artisan Naturals, Artisan Bespoke 004 or the Artisan Luxury. The Naturals and 004 will provide the same overall medium feel in the upholstery even though the Naturals only has 85% natural upholstery as opposed to the 004 with 100%. If, however, you want that sinking in feeling from your upholstery the Artisan Luxury is for you as it has the softest natural upholstery in the range.
