Mattress recommendation

Jane Carter asked

We currently have a Vi-Spring Regal Double, with softer tension, which has served us well for just over 20 years. I was born with hip problems which have also affected spine. Increasingly my sleep is disturbed when my husband turns over. I’m wondering whether we would be best going for two separate zip and link mattresses. I’m 5’4″ and weigh 62 kilos; my husband is 5’9″ and weighs 96 kilos. Please can you advise.

Hi Jane

Zip link mattresses are the best option to reduce any transference of movement.

The Artisan Bespoke 004 mattress in our range, does have a very similar feel to the Vi spring Regal Superb.

BodyweightSpring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kgMedium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg UpwardsFirm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call)Soft (1.2mm)

You are still a soft tension spring at your body weight, but your husband is a medium tension spring.

The only obstacle is that zip link mattresses are only available in kingsize and upwards. You can’t have zip links in a double size.

If you require any further assistance please call the office.

Kind Regards Gary
