Mattress recommendation

Hi M asked
3rd November 2018

We are looking for a new mattress and would like your input.
We are 184cm and 78kg
And 175cm and 88kg
We are looking for a king size bed. We tried several beds in Dreams and quite liked their TheraPur Actigel Plus tranquil 2000 but we are aware that pillow tops have less longevity. Their tempur mattress we did not like as it felt too sinky. We would prefer a mattress that is stable i.e does not move much if one of us moves. Would also like something thermoregulating to avoid overheating at night.
Budget is up to 1k.
Thank you!

Hi Michael,
Thank you for your enquiry via our website.  I am unable to find any details on the mattress you mentioned other than it has a medium firmness. Without any specifications, it would be quiet impossible to advise you as to the suitability of this mattress.

BodyweightSpring tension

8-16 Stone / 50-101kgMedium
16 Stone / 101kg UpwardsFirm

At your body weights, we would pair you both with a medium spring tension to give you both the correct level of support.  Pocket springs give a more stable mattress as the springs are in individual pockets that are stitched together to form a honeycomb within the mattress. If disturbance is an issue you may benefit from the zip and link option, available in king size and above.
John Ryan Luxury artisan Mattress
Natural fibres provide the coolest sleep surface although they do attract a premium price or if you prefer a foam based mattress Latex would be a suitable option as it a durable and responsive material which is not heat retentive. Our Artisan range starts from £965 for a king size with the Artisan 1500 which is a medium in the comfort layers or you may find our Fusion range on our outlet section.
I trust that this was helpful and if you would like any further advice or would like to discuss the suitability of any of our mattresses please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0161 437 4419.
Kind Regards
