mattress size for antique French bed

Thank you for your enquiry. Yes we can make bespoke sizes in all of our mattress ranges.  There is an addition charge of 10% for each 6 inch increment.  Are you looking for a traditional pocket sprung mattress like our Origins and Artisan ranges? Or are you interested in a foam based mattress like our Hybrid and Fusion ranges?  We would need to know your body weight(s) and height(s), comfort preferences and sleeping habits to advise which of our models would be suitable for yourself.

Is your French bed a slatted base? If so a pocket sprung mattress would require you to board over the slats with MDF or Plywood if the space between the slats is greater than 3 inches and foam mattress requires a flat surface.  These measures prevent dips and lumps, mattress damage and incorrect support,
