TAKE OUR MATTRESS QUIZ

Which of your mattresses would you recommend

Liz Ingham asked

Hi, I am looking for a new superking size mattress to go on slatted base. I have tried the Simba mattress at a friends house but after a few days found that it does not give me enough support to my lower back where I have a disc problem. The mattress also seemed very hot. I have also tried the Classicpedic Pocket Memory Mattress from the Memory foam warehouse which we have in one of our spare rooms but found this just slightly too firm – it has 8cm dual HD memory foam layer, 60kg memory foam density, 5 star physio rating, 1500 pocket springs, Medical grade support base for optimum support. We currently have a memory foam mattress which on the original invoice says it’s 160mm 270F reflex foam, 40mm V60 memory foam and find this comfortable but needs to be changed as its ten years old. We are of average height 5’6″ and 6′ 1″ and average build in our 40s and both of us have disc problems (neck and back) from sport injuries. Please can you recommend which of your mattresses you think would be best for us and if you have showroom ? Many thanks Liz

Hi Liz,

Thank you for your question.

From the information you have supplied, I would suggest having a look at our Hybrid mattresses.   These mattresses are the nearest feel to the mattress that you have been sleeping on and have 10cm of supportive reflex foam together with 60kg density Laygel foam and 40kg core heat reactive foam.

The difference between the two Hybrid mattresses are the separate toppers that the mattresses come with.  The Hybrid 4 then has a separate 60kg Laygel topper which gives the mattress a medium support with a soft comfortable topper for body weights of between 10st – 14st and a soft support for body weights of between 14st – 18st.

The Hybrid 5 has a firm support mattress with a medium feel topper for body weights of between 10st – 14st and more of a medium support for body weights of between 14st – 18st.

As you both have neck and back problems, both of these mattresses are good for pressure relieving as they will mold to your body shapes. Please note however that we are not currently retailing these products for at least 16 weeks as we can’t source the same quality product and we aren’t willing to compromise on our product since we stake our reputation on our product.

Alternatively, we have 2 pocket sprung ranges (Our Origins and Artisan ranges). The main difference here is that the Artisan range is constructed using natural fillings and those fillings provide a cool sleep surface. Every pocket sprung mattress has 2 elements to it; The spring and the fillings so we would need to know exact body weights, sleeping habits and preferred feel in order to discuss suitable models within these ranges.

We do not have any showrooms as we are internet based only but we do offer a 60 day returns guarantee.  This is a no quibble policy meaning that if the product isn’t right you can either utilise the one time exchange and swap to a different product or return it for a full refund.

I hope the above is of assistance to you, but please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information and help on 0161 437 4419.

Kind Regards, Julie
