TAKE OUR MATTRESS QUIZ

Myers Deluxe Natural, Origins 1500 and Artisan Natural (Kingsize)

I have looked at your mattresses for a long time but always questioned myself about paying £1100 for the Artisan Naturals, so started to look at your man made Origins 1500. Here is my dilemma, I have just seen a Myers Deluxe Natural £519 at my next mattress. So here is my Maths
Artisan Naturals £1140 mostly natural fillings 10yr guarantee, Myers Deluxe Natural, natural fillings 8yr guarantee, half a bed but compensated by 50% plus price reduction £519.
Origins 1500 man made 3yr guarantee, Myers Deluxe Natural, natural fillings 8yr guarantee according to Myers website both in the same price range
So if I have done my maths right I would be grateful if you can give any further advice here please. All mattresses would be going on a pocket sprung base.
We are both 11-12 stone 5ft 4 and 5ft 8 and would prefer a medium if not softer feel in the top layers. We are coming from a awful memory foam after 2yrs back to pocket sprung.
Grateful for your opinion

Good Afternoon Kerry,

Thank you for your questions.

At the weights provided, you would both require a medium spring tension to give you the correct support.

BodyweightSpring tension
Upto 16 Stone / 50-101kgMedium (1.4mm)
16 Stone / 101kg UpwardsFirm (1.6mm)
Available in Bespoke Products (Please Call)Soft (1.2mm)

Artisan Naturals

For a true medium feel you would be looking at the Artisan Naturals model. This is constructed from 85% natural fibres and materials, has an overall cool sleeping surface and is also our best selling model.

Origins Pocket 1500

The Origins Pocket 1500 mattress is also a medium feeling model but will feel slightly firmer than the Artisan model due to being constructed from man-made synthetic fibres and materials.

I would always advise anyone to do a good amount of research online beforehand and in particular check whether the mattress is fully turnable or 1 sided. A 1 sided mattress has a restricted lifespan as you can’t evenly distribute the wear and tear across both sides of the mattress.  With our own products and particularly the models you have mentioned they are both fully turnable mattresses and we always recommend flipping these once a month in the first year and every 3-4 months in the second year onwards. By doing this you are instantly increasing the lifespan of the mattress.

It becomes a bit difficult to comment on the Myers mattress as whilst they do mention some of the fillings contained inside, it doesn’t give a full breakdown so we can’t really compare with them. To be completely honest, it sounds like any mattress that you choose from these 3 will give you a better sleep than what you currently have with the memory foam mattress.

If you would like to discuss this further then please don’t hesitate to contact us on 0161 437 4419 between 8 am and 8 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am and 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Kind Regards

Michaela
