New mattress used in B&B
We recently stayed at Taggart Guest House, Clevedon nr Bristol and the mattress was amazing!! We don’t have any specifics of it though. The new mattress will go on a slatted base which we understand will need boarding. I have longstanding lower back degenerative disc disease. Our weight approx 10.5 / 12 stones. We prefer to have as much natural fibre content as possible. Please advise.

It is great to hear that our recommended products for B&B’s/guesthouses are meeting the expectations of the guests and providing restful sleep. The mattresses that we recommend for such establishments is the Origins Pocket Reflex 1000 and the reason that this is so is because this product will take a wide range of body weights, but if used on a regular basis by someone of your body weights, we would suggest it may be on the firm side.

In fact, using your body weights as a guide, we would normally recommend a medium spring tension/feel mattress, and in the Origins range that would be the Origins Pocket 1500, which has a standard medium tension spring, layers of man made upholstery for comfort and is the best seller in that range.
