Thanks for getting in touch. Unfortunately, the link you provided takes me to the Heirloom Almond Divan, which it states is made for Bensons by Staples and does not refer to Relyon. The description does not say that the pillow top contains springs so not sure whether we’re looking at the exact model you’ve seen I’m afraid!
Unfortunately all pillowtops whether spring filled or otherwise will settle far quicker than a mattress topper which is removable. In fact, we could go so far as to say that a sprung pillowtop is probably worse with the issue of settlement. This is because as a thin layer of upholstery on top of a spring unit, once that flattens you’re literally lying on the metal springs. Not very nice! We always have and always will advise against pillowtop mattresses. You can read our detailed discussion of them here.
The issue with Pillowtop mattresses is that once the pillowtop fails, which it regularly seems to, that it. There’s no way to remove it from the bed so you’re stuck with a lumpy bumpy uneven mattress. The only remedy is a new mattress. This is why it is always better to buy a standalone topper to add to a mattress than a pillowtop. The Premier inn mattress is an example of a pillowtop and we have reviewed it here.
The Millbrook model you refer to is a better option, but I would suggest that you look at our Artisan Naturals or indeed any of the Artisan range before making a final decision. As they offer far higher quality components for your money and not a pillowtop in sight!
