Replacement mattress for Vi-spring Herald Supreme

Thanks for getting in touch. Great news that your vi-spring has lasted so long that’s a testament to how a handcrafted traditional mattress really is the pinnacle of mattress making. If the base is in good condition there is no need to replace it other than for aesthetic reasons so I’ll just advise based on a mattress only. All of our Artisan range are paired with sprung bases so the two will work fine together.

Given the fact your mattress is 20 years old however I’d hazard a guess the feel of it now it different to when it was in its youth.

So what I’ll do is give you two examples of models that may suit your weight range and the current vi-spring comparisons, then if you want to go check these out in comparison to what you have got it should allow us to get close to a suitable model in our range. All these models come in various spring tensions and at your weight, I’d advise the medium / soft split which you’ve had success with all these years.

The current Vi-spring Herald superb has quite a firm feel in the top layer and is similar to our Artisan Bespoke.

If however, you’re looking for a more medium /slightly more forgiving feel in the top comfort layer, like the current Vi-spring regal superb, then please have a look at our Artisan Bespoke 004 mattress

Both our models listed above are 100% natural fibre and have vanadium calico encased pocket springs. The calico encasing allows for more breathability and movement.
