Replacement for Mirroform mattress
We have a very old Mirrorform mattress (Super King size) which we are looking to replace. It offers little support now.
We’ve already been in touch with you about modifying the divan base (remove slats and replace with solid and supported ply) which we will be doing.
We’re now looking at your Artisan Natural Zip link Super King size and trying to compare it with the alternative John Lewis John Lewis Natural Collection 6000 Egyptian Cotton springs/” title=”pocket spring”>pocket spring (£1600). Do you have any guidance which might help in making this comparison?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to do a comparison between our Artisan Naturals and the John Lewis Natural Collection 6000, as the published details of the latter in respect of the construction and upholstery are vague in the extreme. The John Lewis product is made exclusively for them by Harrisons and they tend not to provide specific details of upholstery in terms of GSM for any of their products. What I can say is that in order to accommodate 6000 springs in the John Lewis product, they use layers of mini springs, which take the place of layers of upholstery and I am not convinced that this offers the same level of comfort as the Artisan Naturals. Under normal circumstances, 1000 pocket springs are sufficient in a king size to provide support for people of average (63-95kg) body weights.
In terms of price, the Artisan Naturals is £1765.00 for a super king size zip link set and you can see exactly what is in our mattress making it extremely good value for money in terms of quality and longevity.
