Replacing damaged Relyon Status manufactured in 2014
Hello,
I am looking for a similar matters to the Relyon Status Soft which I bought 2 years ago before they changed the manufacturing process on the Status – apparently the process used now produces a slightly softer feel. I received this info from British Beds online who I purchased mattress from before having tried the Status out in a store. I don’t want my mattress to feel any softer than the Status I had made in 2014, I want it exactly the same or a tiny bit firmer. So difficult to know where to find this elusive mattress…
Incidentally do you know if the Relyon Status made from Calico springs? I have watched your online video and so interested and educational, thank you.
I am also looking for something you have probably never been asked about before! I want a mattress that has that lovely, sort of fresh, earthy, animal/farmyard smell. I don’t know what is inside the Status but I love this smell – even after 18 months it’s still there but sadly I can tell it’s fading a little now…
Is the scent from the horsehair, Horsetail or wool mix or something else? Is it possible to make a mattress specifically to include/increase whatever it is that gives this smell?
Do you have a warehouse that I could try mattress out please? Im reticent to purchase one without trying…
As I say I’m researching to see if I can find similar feel to the Statuses it was made in 2014 not the newer softer Status.
I need a Super King size zip link. One side Medium for My husband and my side Soft. I am approx 73 kilos and realise I’m on the border of soft/medium which is a worry…

I am afraid we are an internet based only company, so no showrooms or stores stock our products, so you won’t be able to try them before you purchase them.
It would be impossible to get a mattress to be made with more of an earthy farmyard smell.
Sometimes our naturally filled mattresses can arrive with a slight earthy smell,. but this usually dissipates within a couple of months, and never usually lasts longer than this.
It will be very hard to find an exact feel to another mattress, that is no longer in production.
I would assume that the springs are not in calico pockets, as the information i found on-line about the mattress in question, didn’t mention it, and if they were using calico pockets, i am sure the information would have made a point of it, as they are the most expensive pockets to put springs into.
