Soft versus medium
We have a medium firm visoring mattress which has never been comfortable. We are both 5ft 10in and I weigh 11 store and my husband weighs 12 stone. Should we go for a soft feel mattress?

The spring tension in our mattresses is soley determined by your body weight. This is what supports you through out the night. If you are too heavy for the springs then they will be too compressed to offer any support. If you are too light for the springs then they would not move at all and the comfort layers will be crushed between you and the springs and not be able to offer any comfort. At your body weights we would recommend a medium tension in the springs.

The ‘feel’ of the mattress is determined by the upholstery layers. This is subjective to each person as what is comfortable to one person is not comfortable for another.
